Event Description

Reference to our circular dated 27/04/21 announcing the nominees for election to CITG Council2021 and proposed 2020 AGM, a notice is hereby given to confirm the proposed Thursday 20th May, 2021 as the date for the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, Ghana (CITG).

The AGM shall be conducted in a hybrid format (that is in-person and virtual meetings concurrently) starting from 1:00 pm to 5.00 pm as follow:

Venue for in-person meeting: Conference Room 1, UPSA, Legon, Accra

Venue for the virtual meeting: Zoom (link to be emailed to members)

Call to order: 12.45 pm

Commencement of Business of the day: 1.00 pm

Start of e-voting: 2.15 pm to 4.15 pm

Declaration of Results: 4.45 pm

Closing: 5.00 pm


1) To elect four (4) members to the following positions who shall serve as members of the Governing Council of the Institute:

  • i. The President of the Institute
  • ii. The Vice-President of the Institute
  • iii. A representative of the Education and Training Committee of the Institute
  • iv. A representative of the Examination Committee of the Institute

2) To receive the Report of Council and approve the Financial Statements of the Chartered
Institute of Taxation, Ghana for the years ended 31st December 2019 & 2020 and

3) To transact any other business.

Meanwhile, members are reminded that a fellow/member will be entitled to vote ONLY IF that individual’s subscription is paid IN FULL before the date of the AGM. The zoom webinar link shall be emailed or texted to all members prior to the meeting time.
